Get into Middle Splits

Unlocking your middle splits on your own feels so IMPOSSIBLE. That was how it felt like for me or looked like for me so I never really made it a goal. Joining a couple of challenges on social media, I made a few attempts at it going as deep as I could. But it was only YEARS later, when I went to a handstand training, that it clicked and it only took ONE CUE to get me there. It was unexpected. I was very surprised and also incredibly happy! I wanted to keep that range and so I studied and researched on it and continued to practice it knowing that it was going to help me with my handstands and with presses to handstands. And just like front splits, there are techniques that will get you into the middle splits. And just the same, they are also EASIER AND FASTER!!!

In this workshop, you will learn about the different stretching techniques that will get you into middle splits:

  • Passive Flexibility
  • Active Flexibility
  • PNF Stretching
  • Kinesiological Stretching
  • Conditioning

What you will get:

  • Access to a Protected Website with the Lectures and Drills videos on different stretching techniques for middle splits.
    • 2 sets of drills (1 each week)
      • 1st set: covers hip strengthening and opening
      • 2nd set: focuses on getting into middle splits applying hip strengthening and opening from the previous set
  • Form and execution checkup and feedback via FB private group
  • Progress checkup
  • 2 Group consultations (1 every week) via Google Meet (3 timeslots to choose from: Sunday 8pm, Monday 9am or Monday 7pm)

Last September 2020, I included Middle Splits into the “Splits Semptember” themed classes. And same thing, I made it a point that I was not going to touch any of my students for any adjustment whatsoever following pandemic guidelines and protocols. One student who has never even attempted middle splits before got into her middle splits within that month. It was amazing!!! The cues and guidance I gave my students during these classes were the techniques I have learned for my own practice. They got to where they were at without need of any physical adjustment from my part, just verbal cues and some demo. It was beyond amazing how their bodies opened up.
